DIY Candy Buffet Treat Bags
Instead of favors I have decided to the oh so famouse Candy Buffet Table. I am going to have all different types of candy in RED and WHITE!!! I went to the goodwill in my town and purchased a variety of vases, glass ones and RED ONES!!! and I only paid 25 dollars for them all. I then painted my "swirl" pattern in red on the glass ones, and have left the red ones as they are. You want to make sure you purchase different types of vases, different heights etc. I couldnt see spending 25 or more dollars on a "real" candy jar from michaels or where ever...so I made my own. I then decided that I need a candy bag for the guests to put there goodies into. I purchased 200 red paper bags 5 x3 from http://www.papermart.com/ at 11 cents each! i then purchased sticker paper from stapes for 12 dollars for 30 sheets. I then went into word document and created a template that says our names, the date and Enjoy in a circle pattern using word art. I found my print of my swirl theme and printed it on the sticker paper to cover the entire sheet. I then put 8 templates on one page and printed them on sticker paper as well. I purchased a circle cutter for 4 dollars from michaels, which was on sale from 14 dollars! and I cute my swirl pattern paper about 7 inches around, and then i cut the template out at about 5.5inches around. I then peeled the backing swirl paper, placed centered on the front of the bag, then peeled the backing to the template and placed that in the center of the swirl patter. I will be stacking these nicely some where on the candy buffet table. I also then made the sign saying " Love is delicious, your presence was sweet, so pick a bag and take home some treatss! enjoy the Candy Buffet love stephanie and mathew" which i placed on a nice peace of red card stock that will then be placed into a nice frame and put on the candy table as well.
